Early American auto with horse's head on front?

Seeking a photo or other illustration of an early American automobile having a horse's head mounted on dashboard up front...that was back when a wagon/auto dashboard was the very front part of bodywork, not full of today's instruments.

The idea was to allow the real things to perceive approaching vehicle as just another horse and not panic.

I've seen a picture of this automobile within the past year or so, but no idea where. Have read that a New York Times article stated it was an early Brush Electric but dates don't fit and AACA also says no.

Can you help me locate such a photo or drawing, please?

Here's one from Clymer's Motor Scrapbook No. 2.

Thanks very much to MochetVelo (Phil) for enabling me to cancel that appointment with a psychologist to make sure I wasn't hallucinating about the car with a horse on front!

It's not the same illustration that I remember, but certainly is a whole heckofalot better than where I was before, so thanks again, Phil!

I have also seen other examples of the horse head mobile.

Appreciate input from Kaiser 31 and John, as well. Should have remembered the Ford Mustang up front horse, John, and perhaps been more specific in my request.

Also found the same Clymer ilustration flipped with background eliminated, so guess that's going to be sufficient.

Thanks again to all and AACA info feedback performance!

Re: Early American auto with horse's head on front?

You will find far better information in Stanley K Yost's paperback titled "They Don't Build Cars Like They Used To".
A fellow approached Appersons with to optimistic notion that pioneer automobiles would not cause fright or distress to horses if they carried a Horse's head on the front. Well, the horses turned out to be much more intelligent than the inventer. They were appartently terrified by the ghost and anterior stuffed remnant of another horse hotly persued by a pioneer Apperson. The costly taxidermist's trophy was discarded on the floor of the works to gather dust.
If I remember correctly, Stan was associated with a group based in Michigan titled Äuto Enthusiasts International. That may be a clue to locating the book and item.

Thought I'd received what I was looking for, Ivan, but now I'll have some more Googling to do with your Yost input...thanks!
