You can tell by my posts this AM that my brain is fading but here's a serious question. I was talking with my step-son last weekend about this car and that car; Honda and Lincoln and Corvette and so on. He has not misspent his youth reading car magazines so he has little knowledge of the car business. He started asking some very basic questions like who owns Chevrolet and is Ford made by Toyota, etc. After explaining all that and more to him, he said he'd like to see an organizational chart of the auto business. Anybody know of a website showing such a thing? Thanks in advance.

I'll look for the source but I recall a poster chart of Detriot companies and their world wide allies, it was amazing and not a line of descendents, a bunch of circles with intersections across the sheet. I think it was Machine Design magazine who assembled it but don't hold me to it.

I know my 1990 Dodge Caravan has Spanish CV joints and a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder block that when you remove the water manifold there is the Audi 4 ring emblem cast on it (Ala VW Golf). So what is American content??
