56 windsor newport

in my repair shop i have a 56 windsor newport. i'm having a problem getting the rear drums off. keyway removed and puller installed. no budge, i even applied a little heat to the hub. any suggestions.

You need to use a VERY strong puller on them. I usually crank down on my puller as tight as I can get it, then hit with a BFH. That usually works within a couple of hits.

Whatever you do, leave the nut on, but very loose. Then tighten down your puller as much as you can and leave it sit. Every day give it a couple of whacks with a short sledge hammer. It will come loose with a bang. That is the reason to leave the nut on. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
