| Re: 46 Dodge PU leaf springs There are shops in your area that specialize in rebuilding leaf springs. It's a common practice. There are several in my area of Southern California.
Try the yellow pages, or check with a truck suspension specialists and ask where to get your springs rebuilt.
They heat them up, re-arch them, they can add leaves or subtract leaves, depending on what you're looking for.
It's not terribly expensive, and they look and work as good, or better, than new.
I just had the springs rebuilt for an old Dodge military armored vehicle that our department uses for a swat vehicle. the vehicle is so heavy that the springs had a reverse arch after 20 years of hard service. For that vehicle, they weighted each corner of the vehicle, and made the springs accordingly.
For a stock vehicle, you wouldn't need to weight the corners, just take the springs in and tell them what you're trying to achieve.
Most shops will do the R&R, or just build the springs you bring them.
