The Standard Catalog says that the serial numbers are on the dash and on the right rear frame member. Worth a look.
Nothing on the dash, not even any holes. I don't have the frame. Anybody else??
Nothing on the dash and no frame? You're done for.

Found two holes on the side of the dash, next to the right door jam. Could this be the location of the tag? With the door closed you can not see the tag or the holes. Maybe?
Could be, but you're not going to register a car using holes as a VIN

I have the vin tag, mangled, but you can read the numbers, just wanted to know where it should be.
Aha. If the holes match, put it on. Don't use pop rivets, the DMV will spot that in a heartbeat. I'd get a couple of 1/8 drive screws. Give them a while to rust up a bit.
Very often, any tag on a body is not the VIN or serial number, but a job number, body number, etc.

Number plate is located on the top side of the fire wall. passanger side. should messure around 3"x 4" with one rivet in each corner.

That makes sense, I have a 3 x 4 rust area on the firewall top pass side with a hole in each corner, my tag must have been cut down.
