1902 Gray

Has anyone ever heard of a 1902 Gray automobile? It was purchased at auction and some "un-official" information makes a claim that it's original owner was the first president of Ford. Possibly a prototype? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: 1902 Gray

The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1805-1942 mentions a Gray Manufacturing Company being established in Burlington, NJ in 1902. Michael J. and John Gray are listed as two of the originators, among others.

The book mentions several other companies with "Gray" as part of the name, but not quite that early.

Perhaps others here will have more information.

Please forgive my ignorance. Where might I find this catalog?

Re: 1902 Gray

That's a book published by Krause Publications.

You could find it at Amazon.com.
