fuel sending unit
Hi all, I am wondering if anyone knows if the fuel tank sending unit for a 40 Buick special would be the same as the one for a 39 Chev since they share the same body? Reason I ask is I have a credit at Chevs of the 40s which is local for me. Thanks,Rich.

Re: fuel sending unit
I don't believe they are, if memory serves me. I don't recall my 39 Chevy having a tube coming out of the sender like the 39 Buick coupe, which I assume would be what the 1940 Buick would have.
Cheers

Re: fuel sending unit
1940 Buick special and 1939 Chev do not share the same body.
Look at how the rear doors are hung as a start
Some one else should have known that
