Do I need to add lead to my 1937 Buick and 1925 Buick?

I am buying a 1937 Buick and the current owner said I would need to add lead to the vehicle?? Is this true?? I also own a 1925 model 47, does this need lead added to the fuel?

Thanks,

Jeff
