| captbrian's 38 captbrian38 here have my 38 special up and running, regisered and on the road but I am a little hesitant on any trip out of the neighborhood, not having a spare. Having a fuel flow problem but I think I know what it is. Installed a pre fuel pump filter to catch any sediment even though I cleaned and washed the tank. Wanted to protect the pump. When the car starts running poorly I look at the filter and it is full as well as the pump bowl being full. When it happened the other day I got back to the garage, disconnected the fuel line and blew compressed air into the line and finaly heard it bubble in the tank. Then when I ran the engine again it was running fine and the filter bowl was not full, actually a very little gas was running though it but the engine was running fine. The filter bowl was full so I'm thinking this is the way it is supposed to be. I must have had a blockage in the pick up tube and cleared it up with the compressed air. Any thoughts would be helpful. Is this going to be the way of it till all the sediment is cleared out.
I also need a wheel, a 16" that I can use for a spare. Any body have one they would be willing to part with. The measurement of the lug holes across 1 and 3 say would be 23/4 inches c to c.
