Tom,
I think most of early 6cl may be the same, 16 to 23 and may be later.

Re: 1921 Buick model 44 starter crank handle needed

I could use a 32093 starting crank for my 1915 C-36. Anybody have one?

Here's a picture from my parts book.

Same number that you posted Lief. I did not know that they fit so many different models though.

I have a collection of odd cranks. Does anyone have a picture and dimensions of the one T.Black is looking for?

You might want to try the BrassBuick Yahoo site like this one if you are not already a member. They do just as good a job covering the older Buicks as this site does the newer ones.

Re: 1921 Buick model 44 starter crank handle needed

    From what I can gather from Lief's parts book I need a 170023 starter crank. This crank fit's all D(1916 and 17) sixes except the 54 55. I think then it fits all E-H-K 1918 19-20 sixes as well as 1921 22 23 24 sixes it fits 25 26 master 6 and 1927-28 series 120 -128.

Any one have a extra of what appears to be the most common cranks for sale...Thanks Tom Black

If you just need a crank to turn over your engine during trouble shooting etc., try an old 1/2" socket drive extension.

Drill out the ball stop at the male end and install a roll pin to engage the slot in the crankshaft. Then you can use your ratchet handle to move the engine exactly where you want it for timing, etc.

Can you measure the shaft diameter, the size of the pin that the crank fits into, and how far in the pin is. I have one or two that look like that but it is hard to tell without at least some sort of measuments to go by. Dave!

Yeah, We had a great time!!! I'll look at what I have and see if any will work. Too bad your better half could not get the car in the photo with us when they gave out the awards. I would have brought it over for her but did not know which way to turn on the gas or other tricks that you may have with the car. Dave!

Tom, I looked today and I think I have not just a crank, but the correct Crank. The dimensions seem right and it looks like the one in the pictures. PM me so we can exchange address and phone. Dave!
