| Re: My Dads 73 Electra 225 Well I don't sell anything very often almost never an old Buick and I love these old cars. If I had to I would sell it, probably on Ebay with no reserve if you are serious about getting rid of it. Start with a low reserve and you will get a realistic and fair price for it. If you are like so many people wha have an old car and think you will be able to retire selling a 70's electra you will be disaponted. If you do sell it on Ebay make sure you put in lots of pictures with a digigtal camera and a very good description of the car. I have sold 3 vehicles on Ebay and am satisfied with the prices I received. One time I had to relist because of a deadbeat bidder but the relist was free. If you can deliver within 200 to 250 miles for free by driving it to the buyer and having someone pick you up that always seems to help the price. As far as price a 2 door will bring more than a 4 door but most of the Electra's I have seen on Ebay of this vintage usually top out at best for a really nice car around $4000 to $5000. If there happens to be a couple people who really want your car in your area maybe more, if it is really generic with nothing special and no bidders get excited maybe less. I sold a 70 Dodge Coronet that surprised me for how much it brought and I bought my electra with 25,000 miles for under $1500.
