Re: Inserting Photos into the Text of Your Post

Well Brian, I sent my photos to John at www.Electra225.com and he posted them on his site for me. When I tried to navigate my way to post them here with my story It kept telling me my photos were to many bytes. I tried the downsizer and just got confused. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Brad Nelson.

Re: Inserting Photos into the Text of Your Post

Brad, I notice that your photos are also up on the "Collectible Auto Photo Post" feature of this site. You could give that a try as your photo source, but be certain to drop any characters after ".jpg" in the photo address.

Please e-mail me at brianl@americanconstco.com if you have any problem, and I will try to help.

Looking forward to your story!

Re: Inserting Photos into the Text of Your Post

Let me test this for you Brad:

What you need to do is "Right Click" on the photo and select "View Image" It will show just the picture in the browser window. Then copy the URL for this and select the Image tag on this site. Paste in your URL for your picture and it's all set! Here is an example of the code for your pictures:

image http://www.electra225.com/owners/Bra...59/SM-side.jpg /image
image http://www.electra225.com/owners/Bra...59/SM-rear.jpg /image

you just have to put square brackets around each side of the the image tag
( "[" and "]" ) so it would look like [image] and the same for the one on the end.

Let me know if you want some more help with this. I can see how it would be a bit confusing for folks who are not computer people!

Re: Inserting Photos into the Text of Your Post

Ok, Now I can get a photo on a floppy disk to the acceptable size, it was on a disk with six other photos and I attached the resized photo to the same disk. What do I do with photos that are on a full disk. Computer dummy here, so no big fancy words or maneuvers.

Help

Someone once posted on how to post photos by first "attaching" a photo and then getting the link off of the attachment and entering it as an "image" or something to that affect. Does anyone recall this or know what I'm trying to describe. I have tried several different things but can't get it to work. I'm pretty sure I didn't dream this.
