Re: woodgrain dash decals

I don't think that they are "out there". I have been looking for 4 years and haven't seen one yet, even on ebay. There is someone who advertises in the Review and his ad states he includes '69 but when I called him and questioned him, he said he didn't have them for the '69s. I am not familiar with the '69 Skylarks but I think the problem with the Rivi is that the light shines behind and through the woodgrain to illuminate the labels for the switches. That makes reproduction difficult especially for an item with limited demand. Once again we are shunned for falling in love with the less popular girl.

Re: woodgrain dash decals

rancho riviera is the guy in the riview. he makes real wood venier for earlier rivs. he told me he has tried a couple 69s and has had no complaints but i haven't seen what they look like. the year 1 skylark/gs catalog shows a pic of the dash kit and the htr/ac control decal is exactly the same but the rest is different. jim at year 1 ( who's a riv buff ) said that they source out everything but he wouldn't tell me that source(?). he mentioned speedway automotive as a resource they recommend for used parts so i took that as a clue 'cause they list reproduction stuff on their web site. i've emailed them but haven't recieved a reply yet. i'll post if i find anything.

Re: woodgrain dash decals "FOUND"

i found "greg setter", the guy that makes the kits for '70-'72 skylarks/gs'. all he has that will fit '69 rivs is the climate control decal (with or without a/c) for $15. i asked him for leads on the other parts but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. he can be reached at gsetter@mac.com
