Picture requests 57 58 buick special trunk pans

    Good Morning,

Some of you may have seen my post about the new to me 57 special 2dr ht that I picked up last week. Curretly I am looking for a trunk pan for the car and in my search seem to see that the other floor pans, and the trunk boards and carpet from a 58 are listed as the same. Is the trunk pan the same as well? If so this could open up my options a little bit more to find a trunk pan in useable condition.

Right now I have one person offering me a good pan out of their parts car for 250 plus shipping. We all want the best deal possible so I am still looking while considering the offer.

If you have a 57 or 58 special 2dr ht and can snap a picture of the pan it would be greatly appreciated. The pan in my 57 had already been cut out and discarded so I do not have much to go off of.

Back when 1957 Buick parts were not so plentiful (ha ha - like now as well), you might be able to use a modified trunk pan from a 1957 Chevy. They make reproductions of these panels as well as the wheel tub. There is a company Can Am Restoration that sells them as well as Sherwood Industries. You may have to do some cobbling and add or change some of the metal, but that is the challenge of restoring the car. I used floor pans from a 1957 Chevy (front and rear) on my Buick because I had a Fred Flinstone Mobile. Worked Great after some modifications. Also..it is brand new metal, a lot easier to weld and work with. Also, Send me an email regarding the glass..let's talk. Jim

There is a '57 Oldsmoble pan on EBay today. Does not state what model it is from. I believe that a 2 DR HT pan is different than the rest of the models.
