Heater Core for 1960 w/AC: How do you get to it?

Speaking of heater cores, how do you get to one on a 1960 Electra with A/C? Nothing in the shop manual that's immediately apparent. Is access from the interior or engine compartment - or both??

Interior access, but you will probably have to remove some or all of the nuts that hold the AC box on the firewall inside the engine compartment.

It's been 3 years since I did the heater core in the 60, so I'm trying to remember how I did it. Mine didn't have AC..

As soon as the fasteners were all loose, I pulled the heater box into the interior compartment. You may have to disconnect a control cable to get the box free so you can remove the heater core from the box.

You'll have to remove the lower portion of the dash to get the box out. It should only be a few bolts that are accessible as you look up under the dash.
