| Re: 62 Skylark arm rest base replacement I'm not familiar with how they are on the Skylark as they are painted on my Special. Is it chromed plastic? If so, there are at least 2 processes to get them fixed up - vacuum metallizing or a painting process. I'm told the latter will be taking over as it is a more environmentally happy solution. I'm taking my '66 Wildcat arm rest bases to a place in town that does this process.
If you want to go with the vacuum metallizing process, you may want to try a good old Internet search. There's a place in Wisconsin called Chrome-Tech...they specialize in model parts, but also can do things like automotive interior pieces.
If it's a metal part, there ought to be a number of places you can take them to. If it were me, I'd look for a place that does smaller items regularly as opposed to bumpers for the majority of their work.
Good luck.
