Hi
My engine rebuilder for the 1948, 320 cu in does not have the main bore diameter dimension.

Does anyone have this?

Thanks
Tom

Re: 48 Roadmaster Main Bore Dimensions

If you mean the main bearing journal diameter, my Motors Manual lists them as : #1-2.5605 to2.5615
#2-2.6235 to2.6245 crank. end play:.004-.008
end thrust taken on #3 main bearing
#3-2.6855 to2.6865
#4-2.7485 to2.7495
#5-2.8105 to2.8115
rod bearing journal diameter :2.248 to2.249

main bearing clearance :.0005-.002
rod bearing clearance: .0005-.002

cyl. bore :3 7/16 in.

1948 and 1949 list the same specs.

Thanks for the info.
Apparently the rebuider wants to aline bore the main bearing surfaces. But I have not seen a dimension for this.

Thanks
