[55 Special]

Is it possible to put a 55 Century dash trim package in a 55 Special? Are there relief tabs already cut out in the Special to accommodate, or will it need to be slotted?

Yes, both dashes are the same.

What about the panel that is unique to the Century- will it fit in without issue?

As stated earlier, both dashes are the same and a Special dash will accept the Century trim.

Hey Rich,
That is a cool modification. I thought about doing that to my 55, but couldn't find a decent one in time for my restoration. A bit of advice. Keep the Special speedo. It is MUCH easier to read in the bright sun than the Century version. The reflection off the redline plastic has to be shielded if you are wearing a white t-shirt.

special is a standard needle


i aquired a rebuit Century for my Special for around $40

The red line with the trip odometer was a option for the Special series.

Good luck on finding the thin moulding retainer clips for the moulding at bottom of Century dash applique. I'm trying to find some now for a Century I am restoring.
