Hello all. My dad and I are trying desperately to find out what GM car power steering unit/parts will cross over to our 53 buick super-V-8, auto trans. We have access to a 54 olds 98, I would think that this car would cross, but am not sure. We have been asking people for over a year now what will cross over and cannot come up with an answer. If I had the parts in the shop I would match them up, but the 54 olds is in a junk yard and is going to take some work to get the parts off. Any help would be a Godsend. Thank you Ray and Rob.

Hi A quick check of the parts book shows the 53 main PS body parts crossing over with the 54buick, as well as the caddy, olds, pontiac and chevy. Looks like you have an easy change out on the pump. Futher looking shows the steering gear housing also to be a cross over to 54 and some 55but apparently buick only.
