Anyone identify the engine?
The engine in the attached pictures is causing some confusion and I'm hoping someone out there can help identify it. It is fitted to a Gilford AS6 coach built in the UK in 1930, currently under restoration, and according to records it is reportedly a Buda ASB, one of several vehicles made by Gilford allegedly with that engine. That type I am advised by several people has never existed, but Gilfords not only used Buda Engines, they used a large number of Lycomings, and Lycoming made an ASB. Is that the true identity of this engine? I have been told that Auburn used a number of Lycoming engines, so hopefully someone will recognise it.
