Im working on a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville 4 dr (automatic transmission, not sure which one yet) and have a leak from the bottom of the transmission from the plate in the pictures.
What is this plate called (thats held on by the three bolts) so I can try to find a gasket or seal for it?

That is an inspection cover for the ring gear. It does not have a gasket as it is not supposed to hold fluid. Fluid should not be leaking here. You need to determine whether it is trans fluid or engine oil, then have the necessary repairs made.
