| Re: Cadillac 1958 Fleetwood 75 Hi, Looks good. There's no exact number available since you'd have to be connected with the DMVs in all states to know how many are registared in the US now. There used to be a company advertising in Hemmings which claimed to know, but they just took 10% of the total production and sent you information you could find on the web anyway. 10% probably isn't a bad number to use. Limos, convertibles and special edition cars usually hang around longer than other models, just because they're unique and everyone drives them til there's nothing left. There's a guy selling one on eBay now who says there's 30 registared in the world. How in the world did he get that number? Anyway, yes, they're rare, but the sad thing about series 75s and professional cars is - parts are so limited and expensive, by the time you're done, the resale value of the car is about half. This is due to the limited audience. Granted, we all want to keep our cars forever, but the day comes. If I were you, I'd go for it and do whatever I could to make it all it can be. Drive it and enjoy it. Wish I had one! Jeff |
