    Dodge Trucks 1918-1971 wanted

Does anyone have the book Dodge Trucks 1918-1971?

I have been told it has an excellent chapter on rebuilding and hopping up the flathead six.

The book is now out of print. I tried to get it by interlibrary loan, no luck.

So does anyone have the book, and could post the information or email it?

Chapter 14 is titled 'L-6 Engine Rebuild'. It's 4 pages in total explaining the authors' rebuilding of a T-120 251 c.i. I wouldn't call it hopping up but he does explain porting and polishing and using a later model vacuum advanced distributor as well as recommending installing an aluminum head and dual carbs but no explanation beyond that.
But the author of the of the chapter is not the book's authors,Don Bunn and Tom Brownell, it's a David Pollock. It seems to me that name is used in the open in one the AACA Dodge sites? Or possibly the Plymouth Owners site?

I've never seen the book. Is it the same as what you would find in the factory repair manual? I have a reprint of the 1951 DeSoto manual and a 1954 Motor Manual. So I have the standard 50 year old info on how to rebuild the motor.

If there is anything new in it I would like to see that chapter.

I am planning to build a 265 flathead six for my 51 DeSoto and add a McCulloch supercharger (contemporary accessory).

The book is now out of print. It's not available on interlibrary loan. Used copies go for over $200.

Thanks for the offer. I was curious about the author's take on rebuilding the flathead 6 cylinder engine.

I'm not too interested in buying the book. It would be too much just to find out what was on those 4 pages. It would be great if there was something good in there. From Dodge KCL's description it sounds like there is nothing in there I don't already have in my repair manuals.
