After heavy rain water has entered the trunk. Rubber is in good shape - trunk lid closes tight. Anyone have an idea how it is getting in there?

Hi, Burndog, not an unusual problem.
Check the following:
1-drains fron top storage- The lines can come off or crack and leak into the trunk.
2-The lock itself can be a source of the leak. Try hosing the lock gently and see if any water enters the trunk.
3- Make certain thet the trunk weatherstripping is tight on the metal flange it is attached to- this can cause a leak by capilliary action
If these tips don't work try to identify the location of the wet spot on the carpet, the leak is probably next to or above it.
