Correct position for Diff cover plate

I have had the diff on my 1929 DA apart for sometime.
I realised on re-assembly that the domed 'banjo' cover can go back in any of a dozen orientations. I want to set the oil filler hole at the correct level, so can someone say at which height the filler plug should be?

Imagine the banjo as a clock face (from the rear of the car) .... Does the filler plug go at 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock or 5 o'clock?

I have a pict. of what I believe an untouched rear end, 29 DA looks to be at 6 o clock,.... on my own car the plug is more on 7 o clock position so maybe we better get more input. I dont think it would be at 3 4 or 5 because that would have everything swimming in gear lube.

Don't know if this helps, but here is the position of the plug on my 1931 DH6.

Hmmmm.... thanks for that. The DH6 is clearly different as it is not circular, but the DA looks to be as low as possible. It all depends on the volume of oil required, and I would have thought the lowest position was too low to hold 4 pints? I had memory of it being about 4 o'clock, but I can find no photos to prove it.

The plug goes at 6:00 on a DA.
