1928 DB 4dr sedan questions

I'm pretty excited as my DB sedans arrived the other day after almost a years wait. I had bought the cars over the Internet and had only seen pictures up until the other day. The 28 is in good condition considering the age and looks to have all of the major parts still intact. I plan to restore the 28 and the 27 I will hot rod as it is only a body and frame. Now for the questions.

(1)Where is a good source of parts and information for these sedans?

(2)Could someone send me some pictures of the roof wood in their 28 sedan? My cross bars are gone and the main side bars are mostly missing as well. If anyone has traces of the cross bars that I could get the dimensions and profiles from that would be greatly appreciated as well.

(3)Anyone have a tail light assembly for the 1928? mine is smashed?

(4)what is the voltage and polarity of my 1928 fast four sedan?

(5) might be a stupid question but this is all new to me. What do you do for spark plugs on these old engines? is anyone making reproductions of these old style plugs?

I know I will have plenty more questions as I start to dig into the car. Thank you all in advance for all your help.

Regards,
Nathan <><

1. Parts:
Romar
Roy's Dodge Parts
Myers Early Dodge Parts
Put each of the above in search in quotation marks

Information:
Join the Dodge Brothers Club
Buy the 3 CD Dodge Brothers Club News Dec 83-Nov 2000 to search for articles
2. Sorry don't have

3. I have a Type B Bucket, lense and clear glasses. Do not have the outside bezel (plated or the stamp out which says STOP. It was a metal insert.
4. Should be 6 volt POSITIVE ground. Opposite of modern cars!!
5. Yes the plugs are available. Look at spark plugs on left of this site logon. At NAPA they will special order a box of 12. Probably cheaper to buy from vendors above; although it is a good idea to have a full backup set of 4 in your case. The plugs get fouled easily if the timing and or carburetor are out of adjustment. So, if the engine will not start, it is a good idea to change ut the plugs.

Re: 1928 DB 4dr sedan questions

Paul thank you so much for taking the time to answer my list of questions.

I'm really looking forward to diving into the 28 and getting it running again. After that is done then I will work on tackling the cosmetic issues with the car.

I've tried joining the Dodge brothers club two separate times but each time it wouldn't let me pay online so I guess this time I will have to mail in the check instead.

Again thanks for all the help.

[color:"blue"]S[/color]o is there anyone else who might have pictures and maybe even a template for the roof wood work?

Regards,

Nathan <><
