1926 Dodge Coupe Serial Numbers

I just purchased the frame, body, fenders, etc. of a 1926 Dodge coupe and I need to find where the serial number would have been stamped on the frame. If anyone could identify the location it would help me greatly.

greetings you should find the frame number behind
the right front leaf spring rear shackle. will need
a wire brush and some solvent. the eng number if
present should be on the left side of the block
just under the head gasket and towards the fire
wall. Good luck and congrates on your new purchase.

I have been checking on the left side due to some mis-information from another source. Unfortunately, I didn't get an engine with my dodge. That's on my list. Thanks again for your speedy reply.
