    1925 Dodge Touring

Just purchased a 1925 Dodge touring as a father/son project. Interested in restoring as original as possible.Don't know much about it other than last registered in 1948. Serial no A170691, Engine no. A243478. Can anything be deciphered from those numbers? If you can recommend any literature, parts suppliers, engine rebuilders, etc in the Southern California area it would be greatly appreciated. It has a Boyce Motometer which says "Standard" on the back.
    Should it say "Dodge Brothers"?

If you have not joined the Nothern Cal DB's you are missing out on some great
resources. I attended the gathering in GALT last summer and met some of the members who have been helping me with my car. Check with Roy Brister for parts in Carmichael CA
    (916) 973-9778 he has lots of information and parts. He has been a great help to me.

    Good luck with you project.

Right now I am looking for a good serviceable carburetor float for my 24. The two I have both have small cracks and when I soldered them up, they become a little too heavy and makes the car run rich.

It is a Stewart, but i can't find any model numbers on the carb itself. There is a series number on the float chamber covers of the carbs I have, the one on the car says F-245, and the spare says H-244. They both use the same float, but both are cracked.

all my parts are still at my parents house, and I'm going there this weekend. my grandfather rebuilt around 12 carbs and their all in a box. I know that their are some floats as well, so I will take a look and see what I can find for ya. also I will talk to my dad,he knows a place where you can buy new ones.

I could use top irons, bows, and a rear seat if you have one.
    Where are you located?
