    66 Olds 98 urgent question

I own a 1966 Oldsmobile 98 and the wiper switch just broke. Living in Pa. I can not drive the car without the wipers. I need helpd ASAP. I have scoured the Interent for 3 days looking for a replacement switch and there are none to be found. Can anyone tell me if another switch from another Olds model (same or different year) can be used to replace the brokem one? If not, any suggestions as to where to obtain the switch - I have searched in every directory I know. My last hope is the Olds club. Please I need this taken care of ASAP!!!!!!
    Thanks Denny P

    Hi Denny,
Sorry about the wiper switch. I am going to a local yard this week and I know that he should have a donor. I have to visit the particular car snyway and I will pull the switch. No one has really disturbed the car so I should be OK. Will let you know. Email me at drhotwheels@mybluelight.com

    Thanks,
    Greg

I have a 66 toro I'm parting out. The wipers work. I don't know if switch is the same as your 98. Got a pic of yours?

Re: 66 Olds 98 urgent question

All 1962-66 88/98/Starfire with 2-speed wipers use the same switch. P/N 1993607 if that helps finding an NOS. I've seen them on ebay.

I'd bet Pontiac and Buick use the same switch too. Maybe Chevrolet.

Toro is different according to parts books.

If 'rocketraider' is correct about the application being 62-66, I may have a NOS switch buried in the garage. If you still need it, email me and I'll check it out for you.
