Do you need part nos? I have a 73 Factory parts book that would give the original - does that transfer to Moraine?

You can let me know off line @ bob.gerometta@wildaboutcars.com

Go online with Bendix brake products they can tell you the correct part # master cylinder. Or Wagner online.

You cannot use a drum brake master on a disc brake car. The "hold off" (aka proportioning valve) valve is reproduced and available from nearly all of the musclecar brake kit vendors. It is the same as on a Chevelle. The correct master cylinder is also sold by various Olds specialty vendors. Inline Tube is one source.

Also, please locate your CAPS LOCK key and turn it off. Thanks.

Yes, I am absolutely sure about that, as is every other reference you will every read about brakes. Also, if your car was originally all drum brakes, you do not have a proportioning valve.

There are two problems with using a drum brake master cylinder for disk brakes. First, the piston sizes may or may not be right. The fact that you have had no problems to date doesn't mean that the M/C you have is correct for all panic situations. Keep in mind that the braking system is designed to work under worst-case load in the car and worst-case braking pressure. You have been lucky not to have explored those limits... yet! Second, the calipers draw fluid as the pads wear. That's why disk brake M/Cs have a much larger reservoir for the fronts than the backs. Again, you have been lucky so far not to have sucked air.
