Anyone have a source for the beauty trim rings used with the dog disch hubcaps on the 1962 Olds? Thesehad two black painted recesses on them. I am seeking rings in good-to-excellent condition. I halready have enoughg with no paint on them. If you know about a good set, do let me know. Thanks.

If those rings are in decent condition other than paint, I expect you'll have to strip and polish them, mask them off and paint the black rings. They're 61-62 only and are not reproduced. I have some, but they're no better than what you have paint-wise.

For those who have never seen them: these trim rings are made from thin flat stainless stock, rolled and welded together. Kind of involved compared to the later stamped trim rings. I actually like these and dogbowls better on 88/98 than the the 1961-62 full wheelcovers. Same on a 1960.

Either of you guys interested in parting with a decent set of 4? I could care less about the paint. I have dog-dish caps coming out of the woodwork, but I can't find the trim rings!
