2013 Oldsmobile National Meet Information - Hotels, Registration, etc...

As many of you know, the 2013 Oldsmobile National Meet will be cohosted by the Illinois Valley Oldsmobile Club and the Archway Olds Club from July 24-28, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Illinois. Hotel information is as follows:

Host Hotel: Crowne Plaza Hotel - $99/Night + Tax Code is "OCA" - Call (217) 585-2871 for reservations.
Backup Hotel: Holiday Inn Express - Springfield - $89/Night + tax, Code is "Car" - Call (217) 529-7771 for reservations.

In both cases the hotels are filling up fast (as of the last time I heard, the hotel was about 60% booked).

Registration forms will be available in upcoming issues of Journey With Olds and are already on the websites of the Illinois Valley Olds Club (www.ivocolds.com) and the Archway Olds Club (www.archwayoldsclub.org).

Tours include trips to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln's Tomb, Illinois State Military Museum, Levi Car Museum, and the Dana Thomas House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright). An update... The Crowne Plaza is completely booked for Friday Night and is 98% booked for Thursday night. There are still rooms available at the C-P for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday night. At this time, they are pushing all reservations over to the Holiday Inn Express which is filling up fast (and is about $10/night cheaper). They are putting people on a list if they want to be switched over to the Crowne Plaza if openings occur. We are in process of cutting a deal for a 3rd hotel - more details should be available within a couple of weeks.

Get your registrations in today - the showfield has room for a total of 500 cars and we are expecting somewhere near that amount!!!

2) Residence Inn by Marriott - $114/Night (Code Olds Nationals) - (217) 527-1100

In both cases, the hotels are about 2 blocks away from the showfield. There will be a shuttle between the hotels, showfield, and trailer parking.
