Re: 1962 Starfire Rocker Molding Interchange Info

1962 Pontiac G/P is built on the Catalina wheelbase of 120". 62 G/P molding will not even work on 62 StarChief/Bonneville wheelbase cars because they use 123" wheelbase. Would be worth looking at Wildcat though. At one time I thought of using 62 Buick wheelhouse molding on a Pontiac because I like the look and they like the rocker molding protect from stones kicked back by the tires, not a good idea though if your going to show it.

Really? Never thought that the Grand Prix had its own frame, shorter than the 88 frame.

The Wildcat molding kinda looks the same in pics, but not sure

Grand Prix does not have it's own frame, it shares it with Catalina. In 62 the Catalina Hardtop Coupe body is also the same body as Grand Prix. In 63 the frames are the same and the body is also the same except for the green house... The Grand Prix gets a concave rear backlight and swooping "C" pillar and the Catalina uses the same hardtop bow roof that is used from 62-64.
1963 Olds Starfire also changes the back half of it's green house to fit a concave rear backlight and new "C" pillar sail pannel.
