You can try USA Parts Supply USA Parts Supply , but their Olds catalog goes back only to 1941 so a 40 may throw them. I can't help on cross-referencing as my factory parts book cuts off at 1949.
I'm going to PM you Bob Petters' email. He's the NAOC 1940 advisor and a great resource on these cars.
