1927 olds what are locations of VIN numbers

I wouldn't call it a VIN number since most cars of that era had both a chassis or frame number and a different engine number. I am not an Olds owner, but I expect the since it is a GM car, the chassis plate will be behind the left front wheel like most Buicks of that era.

Some states used the engine number for registration which caused lots of issues when engine swaps were done. However, most used the frame or chassis number.

I did a frame up restoration of a 1927 Oldsmobile and never found numbers on the frame. All of my cars have the engine number on the title. The engine number is stamped on top of the block near the water pump.

There is an aluminum tag nailed below the right side of the front seat. It has the engine number and car serial number.
