Greetings, all,

FWIW, I have determined the Carter fuel pump as used on the V8s uses the same rebuild kit as most 1950-to-75 Carter pumps used on Fords, Mopars and many others. The bad news is I can't find a source for the kits. Anyone have a source or an idea?

There is a thread on Big Kev's site listing a couple of places to buy. If you are looking for OEM lots, the only thing I have is according to info on box, the kit I got from Fred Mauck was mfg by KEM manufacturing in Fair Lawn, New Jersey--part # CK 104. Google has a few entries for KEM mfg making auto parts but don't know if same outfit. The box doesn't look exactly like new you'd see on a shelf today but the stuff inside seems to be fresh.

Check Hemmings there are several companies that will rebuilt them very reasonable.

Yes, two sources in Hemmings will rebuild them for $60 or $80, when all it needs is a $10 diaphragm.

I only buy kits from the antique auto parts cellar, AKA then-now automotive (www.then-now.com)
They are FRESH kits made from new, fresh diaphragm material, made for the chemicals in today's gasoline. Then-now gives great service as well.
