    Rubber Softeners?

Waddaya all think about allowing some small rubber grommet 'thing a ma gigs' to soak in power steering and or transmission leak fluids, in order to soften? Craig, you remember those inserts on your spark plugs wire holder? I'm thinking of soaking the ones I got from Mike Dulinski in order to make more plyable (sp)?

    Re: Rubber Softeners?

Kevin: I think there are some kind of silicone sprays that will do that. Eons ago when I had my old opel, the window gaskets were all shrinking and cracking because of the Texas heat. The dealer gave me some kind of generic silicone spray to put on it that seemed to soften it up.
