    correct colors in engine compartment

Is there a source to tell me what is painted what color or finish in the engine compartment? I've pulled the '41 120 engine for rebuild, now I feel compelled to make all colors "correct" on everything I have pulled or can see. (Of course I have some Packard green.)
    Advice and guidance appreciated.

It would be a lot easier if you ask for correct colors for specific parts. There are some nice factory assembly line photos and detail shots over at PackardInfo.com.

I don't think that the 120 transmission was painted.

Really? If that's true, I didn't know that.

Re: correct colors in engine compartment

West, I retract that statement. I forgot that my 120 1942 had a 1946 engine, so who knows where the transmission came from.
