South Carolina Senate Approves Bill to Exempt Antique Vehicles from Property Taxes
A bill (S.B. 776) to provide an exemption from property taxes for motor vehicles licensed and registered as antiques was passed by the South Carolina State Senate. The bill has now been referred to the House Ways and Means Committee for consideration.

? South Carolina law defines an ?Antique? as every motor vehicle which is ?over 25-years old, is owned solely as a collector?s item and is used for participation in club activities, exhibits, tours, parades and similar uses, but in no event used for general transportation.?
