| How do I enable Private Messages?
I am really frustrated with this new format. Can anyone tell me in a simple way, how to enable the Private Messages part? Apparently, some folks have sent me some messages, but I cannot get to them or even see them. I'm sorry to be so stupid, but I am about to give up totally on this forum.

User CP-->Edit Options--> Private Messaging Tick Enable Private Messaging
When you have a message shows in the top right under your name
Private Messages:
Unread 1, Total 52.
You are not set up the receive private messages until you enable as above
keiser31 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.
If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove keiser31 from the recipient list and send the message again

I see you already have a response, but I was busy writing this so I am posting it anyway....
Click on User CP in the menu buttons near the top of the page.
Under Your Control Panel, on the left side of the page, click on “Edit Options”
Click in the empty check box to “Enable Private Messaging”
While you are at it, you might want to also enable email from members also. There are several other options that you might want to do also, so read all of the possibilities… i.e. “pop up notification of private messages”

I have those things enabled and there is no difference. I saved the boxes as checked so.....????

Nope. Just tried
On User CP--> Edit options page are you clicking "save changes" at the very bottom of the screen ?
Also try closing your web browser and starting web browser aagain

Maybe now. I had another box checked that said "limited to moderators...". I unchecked it.
