Hey! Can We Consolidate Forums!

I've noticed lately that a lot of the forums lower down on the main menu page are falling into disuse, and a lot of the threads here in the general forum would be better served in a more marque specific forum. I think there are a lot of (especially first time) visitors to this site that never scan below the first few forums to look for an appropriate place to post their question and/or comment. The recent questions on the MGA restoration and the 1937 Pontiac trunk materials are two examples.

Peter, would it be possible to add links to the heading or sidebar of the forum that would aromatically scroll down to a given forum or call it up in a new tab, thereby listing the different forums at the top of the page instead of having to scan further and further down to get to the desired forum? That way newbies and others would know what's available here and not just jump into this forum as a catch-all.

Would it not be good to change this forum name to "Forum Questions and Suggestions". Not that Pete isn't doing a great job on his own and not that he is dictator or anything, but hearing from the "people" with a good suggestion every now and then might help too.

The lower forums are only a key stroke away guys...depress "down arrow" and wait.

I do not see the problem here. Each time I come on I "key up & down" the whole forum set.

PS, well I see I have already replied on this question once. Can't wait to see what is available with the new update. As far as drop tabs, Dave, I had the same thoughts about editor/webmaster drop tabs for article submissions available for reuse. We will have to see what we can do when the finished web site is up.
