Columbia Axle

Going to try to find a columbia for the 39 Zephyr over the winter. A friend has a housing with HB4045 cast in it and one with 68-4045 cast in it. I think the HB is Lincoln housing and the 68 is Ford housing? Maybe someone can confirm this. Hopefully I can find enough parts to make this happen. Dave

You are correct. Also the Lincoln housing will have a larger eye for the spring shackle bushing.

Speaking of general differences, did the 37 Columbia's carry the same HB4045? Was the only difference between 37 and 38+ mehcanicla vs. hydraulic brakes, or were there other differences? and if so, wouldnt it have another part number?

And yes, i'd be very interested in a 37 Columbia if anyone reading this has one to offer

Why don't you post some pics of the switch? Also a list of other sundries you need for the change would be great - switches, adapters, bits o'ephemeria or unobtanium...
