    1925 Lincoln Thermostat Rebuilding Needed

I have a thermostat that is hanging up. The shutters and all linkage move freely. The shutters somtimes stick full closed and if I give them a push, (when engine is warm) the snap open. Any help? Sure is LOT of tension on them... Seems like much more than some of the other brand cars I work on.

Any recomendation for a GOOD rebuilder........

    Hello Rods,

You probably won't get much response to this question out of this forum. Some of us "Zephyrists" have serious tunnel vision when it comes to collector cars! Economy of scale, you know.

May I suggest you try the Lincoln and Continental Owners club forum at the head of this column. These folks have a much wider view of collector cars. There must be SOMEBODY out there who is into the really early Lincolns.

    Good Luck!

Do you need a new shutter t stat? Is is the Slyphon type? If so, those are available. The way you describe it, it sounds like it could be a weak t stat or something binding in the linkage or shutter pivots. Dave Mitchell packard12s@hotmail.com
