FrontPage how-to manuals

The manual that came with my copy of FrontPage is actually better than most software how-to books, but I still never seem to be able to find the answers for what I want to do.
How have you been dealing with your learning curve? Have any of you found any better source (besides Peter, of course) to figure out how to do all the bells and whistles? I'm thinking of the Dummies series, or ???
Jan K.
Wis Region AACA
Web Editor

Re: FrontPage how-to manuals

Jan,
I agree with your assessment of the Frontpage manual. I still struggle with some of the basics and have never learned all the bells and whistles. I have basically learned by doing. I use Pagemaker to publish our printed newsletter and used the same approach with it. I could probably work more efficiently if I had a good resource book. Let us know when you find a good one!

Re: FrontPage how-to manuals

there is a frontpage for dummies book. How good I don't know. I've learned everything for the Alamance webpage by trial and error method. For me if I look it up I'm not as likely to remember it the next time.

Re: FrontPage how-to manuals

I've checked the Barnes & Noble website and there are more than 25 books on the version I am using. It's overwhelming that there can be so many variations on a theme.
I've managed to do most of the basics by trial and error and judicious use of Peter G., but I'm interesting in making the next step forward. I can do some things in word processing that I haven't been able to duplicate to my satisfaction within FrontPage. That is what is prompting the question about the manual. I guess my best option is to contact someone who has done what I want to do and just ask them how they did it!
Jan K.
