    Serial number on Frame?

    Hello all,

Just wondering if the serial number of a 1950 Commander State Land Cruiser is stamped anywhere on the frame. If it is, where? The car in question is missing the pillar post mounted serial plate.

    Any words of wisdom appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Allan

On the rear most crossmember. The best way to see the # is to get under the car and look up. I think it's on the flange that is toward the front of the car on the rear-most crossmember. you may have to do some sanding or light sandblasting to see it, as there were stamped rather lightly. Maybe this helps. Good luck!

Realistically, the stamping was so lightly done it's probably no longer there; light sanding maybe. Sandblasting would destroy any possibility of finding it.
