Pilot Ray Lights Linkage?

Hello, I recently purchased a pair of Pilot-Ray Lights that I intend to repair and install on one of my Packards but the linkage is incomplete. I don't have the rod and attachments that go back to cars steering. Does anyone know how and exactly where the linkage is attached to steering? A drawimg would be helpful if anyone knows of a website or can send Image? Thanks for the help, Rick

Re: Pilot Ray Lights Linkage?

We bought this linkage about 3 years ago from Henry Yeska or Don Sommers, can't remember which.

Re: Pilot Ray Lights Linkage?

Thanks for the help Guys, I think I have enough Info on parts needed, now.
I'm going to try fabricating them using stainless sheet and rod. I already have the clevis pins and rod-ends needed.
I now see why Pilot-Ray lights are not used on cars newer than early '30s. Since Pitman-arm moved inside cars frame, (outside frame on older cars), the linkage would nolonger attach. So I'll be using them on my '29 626.
Thanks again, Rick L.

Re: Pilot Ray Lights Linkage?

Hi Speedster & other Forum Members,
The following person has Pilot Ray lights and Pilot Ray parts, including the linkage:
James Wallace
16438 Gilmore St.
Van Nuys, CA 91406
Home: 818-785-7246
If you call - Jim is in his 80s and little hard of hearing. His hobby is restoring Pilot Rays and Trippe lights. He has original and repro. repair parts. Jim recently purchased his first computer; I don't know his e-mail address.
