    Classic car club posting message

Yesterday, the message asking that posts be limited to discussions about Full Classics appeared on the club titles. I liked it being there where you couldn't help but read it before posting an inappropriate subject

Re: Classic car club posting message

I?m glad you found the ?Cautionary Warning? to be helpful. We?re not trying to discourage people from visiting our forums. It?s just that the term ?classic? is incredibly overused. Many of the uninitiated are quite surprised to find out that there are no ?57 Chevrolets in our club. You?ve probably noticed that some of our members are very touchy about the terms use, especially when it comes to cars built after 1948, therefore the warning. Will anybody pay attention? Probably not, but they can?t say they weren?t warned if their post disappears.

The new Forum software took me by surprise. I wasn?t expecting it to go active until this week. When it happened, I was leaving a Chicago Board Meeting on route to the ACD event in Auburn. I discovered the change just as I was leaving CCCA Headquarters. I didn?t have the opportunity to explore it until I was sitting in a motel room that evening. Eventually we will be able to customize the Forums even more, after the various administrators get past our initial ?learning curves.? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/icons/blush.gif" alt="" /> There are some really nice features to this new software. I know Peter G has worked long and hard on making these inter-club forums a reality. We all owe him and our friends at AACA (who hosts these forums on their server) a big ?Thank You.?

Hey..Stevie - how the heck are you..and how are things in my old "home" Region ? Dont mind Conrad...I am sure he has NO clue who you are, or what your fine contributions to the CCCA, So. Cal Region, are ! He means well enough !

    Keep in touch !

    P.S. to Chuck ( Steve Pugh is a former DIRECTOR ! )

I?m glad Steve has chosen to join us on the Forum. There are quit a few folks hanging out here who are current or former directors. Obviously we all are guilty of saying ?Yes? when we should have said ?No.? The Club should consider themselves very lucky that talented people are willing to take on these jobs. It?s hard work being a Regional Director (or a National one too.)

I?m just a guy who should learn to say ?no? more often. Steve probably is too!

Re: Classic car club posting message

I have been a regular viewer of the forum for some time now. I follow the discussions closely but seldom post unless I believe what I am saying contributes to the thread. I know how difficult it is to say "No" sometimes, but progress on my cars has improved significantly since I started saying it.
