Whippet or Willys
I recently bought what I thought was a 1933 Willys motor and transmission. When it was delivered, several things baffled me. As far as I know, all Willys had a bolt-in transmission. This transmission is cast integral with the bell housing. At first inspection, the water pump may be different from my other Willys units too. Is is possible that I bought a Whippet motor and transmission rather than a Willys unit?

Re: Whippet or Willys
By 1933 the Whippet had gone in favour of the Willys 77. All whippets had bolt in transmissions on both 4 and 6 cyl models as they are all dated in the mid-late 20's, when Willys was building them this way. It is possible you have the setup from an earlier model Overland or a later model Willys. What is the serial on the block? that may help. if you supply it to the WOKR they "may" be able to tell you what it is from. I think though the only real answer would come from supplying decent photos.
Good luck.
