Re: Overheating problem

I had this same issue last winter only to discover that I had stuffed a little piece of a rag into the lower radiator hose to prevent fluid from running all over my engine. When I pulled it out to slip the hose on it must of come apart so half was still in. Lucky it didn't make it to the impeller and get pushed inside the engine in pieces.

The temp gage would slowly rise to hot however everything else seemed normal as a small amount of fluid was making its way thru. Pulled the hoses, took the rag out and it worked perfect. Check all of your hoses, #hit happens!

Re: Overheating problem

Bob,

Might be critters indeed...this is the time of year that they're looking for snug quarters...doesn't take 'em long to move-in...

Hope you get things resolved w/o a complete tear-down...
