Around 1921, what grease points tended to have grease cups and what grease points tended to have alemite pin fittings? My 21 Stearns Knight has a mix of the 2, I suspect they are not all the original type. For example, on the rear spings, the front spring pins have cups, the rear spring pins have fittings. There's no telling what may have been switched over the years.

According to an old article from Skinned Knuckles the Alemite pin fittings were introduced in 1920 and by 1922 most cars used them. Your 1921 car may have had both pin fittings and cups, both my 28 Pierce and my 32 Cadillac still used cups for certain applications like the water pump.

My '28 Gardner uses the Alemite pin fittings all around, and there are a ton of them.
